Hmph

Whelp, the last post is a bit of a moot point. The guy called, Matthew went and talked to him, he said he bought the bike from a pawn shop last August, and didn't want to trade or sell it or anything. So Matthew unlocked the bike, and the guy went riding off into the wild blue yonder on our bike. Even though I guess its justified, right now I'm just thinking "uh jerk!"

It's a tough situation. Even though it is technically your bike, it is technically his bike too. That sucks.

Well that is a sticky situation. You just have to trust that he isn't lying about the pawn shop. There is no way to tell unless you got more detailed info about the pawn shop, went to the pawn shop ans asked if they remember this bike and such. He maybe innocent or a slippery fellow. Hopefully he is telling the truth. If not, he has some serious issues that will reak havoc in his life. Either way, cut it loose - you will feel better. Or go slash his tires which ever works.

and that, my friends, is why you don't buy things from pawn shops ... i thought your locking it up with your own bike lock was a clever idea, though.
