We like patterns
This picture has been many grueling, exhausting weeks in the making. A few months ago Matthew and I realized that only red and white/tan cars park in our parking lot. Since then, we have been striving to manipulate the parking schema so that we have a white-red-white-red pattern. Last night we got home to the white cars parked every other stall... meaning that the red cars would have no choice but to park in between. And they did! Success!

Can I just say...
...that I never in a million years thought that I would be heavily following college basketball, and that I will be for the rest of my life. Football, yes. I could see that happening.
Let's just say that I now know the names of all of KU players, many of their numbers, recognize their faces, generally know how they've been playing in the past games, what games they have coming up, who the rivals are, which teams Matthew doesn't like, etc etc etc. know that there is sure a lot more that I could know, but this is already a lot.
Not that I don't like college basketball. I do! I love sports. I like watching KU games with Matthew. I'm totally getting into it! It's just that I never, ever, ever thought that I would be religiously following a team.

Double whammy: The good kind
Valentine's Day happens to also be our 6 month anniversary! So it was twice as special and exciting. I won't say too much about everything, except that it included a rose and some beautiful tulips and daisies, Lindt chocolate, a sweet card, a great breakfast and a delicious dinner. It's been great! We can't believe that we've been married for half a year already. Time is sure flying by.
Goal: step 2
APPLICATIONS ARE IINNNNNNNN! To apply for internships. Friday was an incredibly, much anticipated and looked forward to day. For anyone who hasn't heard, here is the process:
1. Graduate in August with BS in dietetics. However, the degree doesn't really mean much until steps 2-5 are completed.
2. Get accepted to a Dietetic Internship somewhere in the country. Unfortunately, there are a lot more applicants than there are spots, so... only 50% acceptance rate. And we don't get paid. We pay to do it. And its usually 9-12 months.
3. Do the internship.
4. Take the RD exam
5. Be a registered dietitian!!!
Anywhoozle, it was SUCH a relief to get those sent off. It took such a long time to get everything put together and all my letters perfect and polished and such. Basically its been taking over my life for the past few weeks, and so been affecting Matthew's life, too. All I can say is that Matthew is the sweetest husband ever, for dealing with me being all stressed and worried, and just helping me out however he can.
Now I just wait until April 5 to see if I've been accepted. I've decided I'm not going to think positive, and just assume I won't get accepted, and then it's less of a disappointment when I don't get accepted, and it's just really exciting if I do.
